This doctor is the “hospitalist” for my mother who is in MRMC with COVID. My mother is elderly and otherwise chronically ill. Dr. Le gave up on her and did nothing to help her recover. Le called my sister and told us that our mother’s organs were failing and that she wanted to decline all life saving measures. Fortunately we were able to get in to see my mother. She told Dr. Le nothing of the sort. Dr. Le wasn’t even coming into her room as her treating physician. She stood at the door and peeked in. The ventilation system in mother’s room sounds like a jet engine. You can’t hear somebody standing next to you, much less have a conversation across the room. Up until that point my mother had been full code. Dr. Le decided her life wasn’t worth fighting for and changed her to DNR on her own. Fortunately we were able to get there and get my mother’s code status changed back. She was dehydrated and hadn’t been fed. In the short time we were allowed to see her we gave her water and glucerna. You could see her improving right before our eyes. Dr. Le flat out lied to us. She provided a despicable level of care to my mother and she is an unethical doctor. If this doctor is caring for you, your life is at risk. When we left my mother was doing much better and thankfully is under the care of a different physician. Now she stands a fighting chance.
