Dr. Ridam is the most disrespectful doctor I have ever met in my life. He never allowed me to finish a sentence. All he kept saying to me was “no, no, no” as if I were a child and he was cutting me off every time he was telling me no. I am 51 years old and a survivor of a near fatal motorcycle accident where I was given a .6% chance of surviving. By the grace of God I’m alive today. I fought my way back and I fight every single day since to stay alive and survive the trauma that my body suffered from the accident. I had a left above the knee amputation. I lost my right kidney, my appendix, my spleen, my colon, my large intestine, 60% of my small intestine, I shattered those femur‘s, shattered my pelvic bone, fractured my ribs, sprained my neck, bleeding on the brain resulting in a TBI and those are just the major medical famaged I incurred. I went into cardiac arrest three times and the third time I was brought back by heart massage which nine times out of 10 never works. Since my accident which was on December 18, 2021 I have visited the ER at Texas health Presbyterian in Plano at least a dozen times. I’m told by my trauma team that I can expect ER visits for at least three years post my accident due to the insurmountable trauma that my body suffered. In the last two weeks I’ve been in the ER or the hospital three times today making the fourth. I’ve been suffering at a pain level of 10 due to an ileostomy blockage, chronic pain due to my shattered pelvic bone and fractured ribs and most recently I suffered from headaches, dizziness, blackouts, and blurred vision. When Dr. Riisom took my case over today, he did not want to hear anything. I had to say he cut me off every time I tried to speak. The only thing that ever came out of his mouth was no. He treated me like a drug addict and I am the farthest from a drug addict. I am a survivor. I have been fighting my way to survive for the last 17 months only to be treated with so much disrespect by Dr. Risom today. He does not deserve his medical license. He should never be put in front of a patient. He has no common courtesy. He is disrespectful to women. He did not even remotely treat me medically the way that I needed due to my ileostomy, and only having 40% of my small intestine it is extremely difficult for my body to digest pills and therefore my doctors have prescribed the majority of my medicine and liquid form so that my body can actually absorb the medicine and get the relief that it needs. Due to my traumatic accident I suffer from chronic pain on a daily basis at a level eight. I have phantom limb pain. I have a neck sprain with no space between C3 and C4 or C4 and C5, I have a valgus right knee that needs knee replacement and constant abdomen pain due to my illeostomy. Instead of introducing himself to me and asking me what brought me into the ER today he immediately treated me like a drug addict as if I was here only to get drugs. I have never been so disrespected in my entire life. I am not a drug addict. I am a survivor that suffers from chronic pain. my wreck resulted in 13 surgeries and 85 blood transfusions. My trauma team suggest that I avoid surgeries at all cost for at least three years because my body cannot handle any more trauma. I have spent thousands of dollars on alternative medicine to try to relieve my chronic pain so that I can get off of opiates. I am not your typical Opiate addict. I don’t want to be on opiates they only cause problems. But I don’t have a choice because I live with chronic pain on a daily basis. This man didn’t even bother to try to get to know me or get to know my story. All he knew is that I had been to the ER four times in the last two weeks and he immediately Assumed I was here for drugs. He deserves his license to be pulled. He should never be in front of a patient. He has no manners and he’s absolutely disrespectful to women. I will not stop until he has lost his medical license. I will be filing complaints with the board and I will be publishing reviews every social media platform that I can. I feel sorry for anyone that had to see him as a patient and I am going to try my best that he is never again allowed to treat patients. I didn’t fight my way back to be treated the way I was treated today. The rest of the staff at Texas health Presbyterian Plano call me their miracle patient because I’m not supposed to be here but God did not agree. God saved my life and saved my life every day. My trauma team was top notch. The only person in this facility I have a problem with is Dr. Ridam. Texas Health should be embarrassed that they have a doctor representing their name and treating their patients so poorly. He never even took the time to ask me why I was here today and why I was here the last two weeks. He didn’t take the time to get to know me as a human being. Instead, I was immediately treated as a drug addict. This man deserves his license to be polled, and never practice again.
