Dr. Shishir Sharma is a clinical cardiologist with expertise in advanced cardiac imaging through echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He completed his undergraduate training at Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Afterwards, he graduated magna cum laude at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and was inducted into the prestigious AOA medical honor society. He completed his medicine residency at Northwestern University where he won several teaching and research awards. Next, he completed his training in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. During this training, he received advanced training in echocardiography allowing more detailed visualization of cardiac structures. During these years, he has published numerous papers and presented at numerous national conferences regarding cardiovascular disease prevention and how modification of these risk factors can improve cardiac structure. Dr. Sharma has a clinical focus on treating a variety of cardiac conditions along with advanced imaging of the heart, but he also has a strong interest in the prevention of cardiac disease through risk factor modification. He now lives in Dallas with his wife and is a die-hard college football fan.
