Dr. Ellen Burkett graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Nursing in 1978. She graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1987 with an M.D. degree. She completed her internship, residency, and chief residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. Dr. Burkett is board certified in Internal Medicine. She has provided the highest quality medical care since 1989.Dr. Burkett is an active member of the American College of Physicians, the Arapahoe-Douglas-Elbert Medical Society, the Colorado Medical Society and the American Medical Association. Her practice has achieved Level III NCQH recognition for Patient Centered Medical Home. She is the Medical Director for MedSouth IPA and Board Chair of CHN. Dr. Burkett is married with three grown children.
