Infectious Disease
My main focus is septic arthritis, prosthetic joint infections, complex surgical wound infections, infections related to retained prosthesis and hardware after fractures. In addition, I see patients with diabetic foot infections, sacral decubitus infections, and recurrent urinary tract infections.
I also have expertise in diagnosing patients with complex fevers of unknown origin to assist with diagnosis management and access to appropriate treatment. I have experience managing patients with latent tuberculosis infection, TB and other mycobacterial infections.
An infectious disease specialist is a medical professional who has been trained to prevent, diagnose, and treat infectious diseases. They see patients who are exhibiting signs or symptoms of an infectious disease and perform a variety of tests to determine the type of disease and prevent it from spreading.
