Overview

Andrew M. Schmiesing, MD, is a board eligible, sports medicine fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon. He completed his medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School and his residency at the University of Minnesota. He then completed a sports medicine fellowship at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County, California. Here, he gained further experience in the management of sports injuries as well as a more extensive training in arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder, including ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic and open management of shoulder instability as well as other procedures.
