Edie Chan is an arrogant and inconsiderate physician. In my experience she doesn't seem to read the patients chart before taking action. When reminded that Steroids worked for the patient I got an "oh yeah". My sister, a week before her birthday, was talked into a "30 minute" elective surgery for a new procedure because she had "an opening" that day. The surgery unexpectedly dragged on for a couple of hours. When Dr. Chan came out she seemed annoyed and first sentence was to inform me that, because of my sister, she had to cancel her other scheduled surgeries because my sister was a "complex" case and was going to have to admit her. When my sister got worse, Dr. Chan never talked with me. When they told me my sister was dying I didn't hear from Dr. Chan. Only two of the staff members and Dr. Hertl was there for me. My sister was Intubated on her birthday and died 5 days later. It was only when I received the Autopsy and Medical records did I find out the truth about what happened.
