If I could give a half a star I would. It’s sad because I have been going there since 2015/2016.Because of what happened I filed a complaint with the board. So I had a wellness visit which is my annual physical at the Lewisville clinic. First they wanted to charge me an office visit copay for something that is covered by insurance at no charge to the patient.
So I had an appointment for my well checkup on 07/21/23. I received a call Thursday 07/20/23 to confirm that appointment. When I got there the girl at the front said that I had a $35 copay. I explained that for my annual wellness check there is no copay. She looked and confirmed that there was in fact no copay for that visit. While there labs were completed and an EKG. About an hour after leaving I received a call from someone it was either Meredith or Miranda, I was so upset I forgot her name. She tells me that they no longer take my insurance that I have with my employer. I asked why was I not informed before I took time away from work to go there. She said that it was something recent that they found out. She then proceeded to tell me that no other doctors will see me because of my insurance and that they would have to destroy my labs. I informed her that I am diabetic and needed to know my A1C. She stated that I would have to pay $230 for the visit. I told her that they could just destroy the samples then because I don’t have that to pay. The call ended. Then about 30 minutes later she calls me again and says that they can have Quest just bill me and my insurance instead of them for my labs. I said okay but she said that I would still need to pay them $230 to come back in and get my results because of the charge for the office visit and the EKG that was done. Again I explained that they should have called me and informed me that they no longer take my insurance from Walmart. I was not informed until after my appointment. Now I am going to run out of my diabetes medication because now I have to find another doctor and they are not going to release my results to any doctor that I go see per Meredith. I told her that I have bills to pay and she stated that my health is important but yet they couldn’t call me and tell me that my insurance is not accepted anymore at their practice. So once they get my lab results I cannot get them.
