Family Medicine
My interest in caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds led me to complete a career in Family Medicine. I have always had a passion to optimize healthcare through prevention with each patient and also through community and population health, and that led me to obtain additional training with a Master's in Public Health. My emphasis on Preventive Medicine allows the patient to engage in and feel they are a part of their healthcare.
Family medicine doctor or Internist is someone who specializes in diagnosing and treating illnesses, diseases, and health problems. Most internists are also primary care doctors and treat patients on a regular basis. They can diagnose and treat common illnesses or more serious problems. Most people see an internist regularly.
