Beena Jani, MD is a member of Summit Health's Family Medicine team. Dr. Jani is Board-certified in Family Medicine and provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including primary care for adults, children and adolescents. Dr. Jani’s expertise includes preventative medicine, patient education and women’s health.
Prior to joining Summit Health, Dr. Jani spent 11 years serving as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and Medical Director of Family Medicine at the Herman "Denny" Farrell, Jr. Community Health Center. In 2012, Dr. Jani received the Teacher of the Year for teaching residents at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Center for Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Jani is an accomplished researcher and educator in her field and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Jani says, “I enjoy taking care of families. I have found that being able to care for multiple members of the same family gives me a great deal of insight about a patient’s health and wellness.” I am grateful for the opportunity to practice medicine and build meaningful relationships with patients.”
Dr. Jani strongly believes in the care coordination that Summit Health affords and how it optimizes quality of care. Through this system, she can not only partner with her patients, but also work collaboratively with other health care providers to ensure the best possible health outcomes.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Jani enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga, reading, and small doses of reality TV.
