I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but if I could give Nancy Day zero stars I would. I had a very negative experience with her during a primary care visit in Chandler. I suspected I had an infection…and she spent exactly 4 minutes with me in an extremely rushed check up. She had the air about her that I was wasting her time. Zero bedside manner. She only said she was prescribing me antibiotics and started walking out the door. I got upset, and asked her to wait. I had a short question, and there was no opportunity for me to ask which antibiotics she prescribed. Turns out the ones she was prescribing have not been effective for me in the past. She cut me off when I tried to speak and never communicated what kind of infection I had; I had to request my paperwork from the manager to learn that. Basic patient rights are to tell us what the health condition is and the medicine you are prescribing. When I got upset at her behavior and stormed away, I noticed she put in the notes “would recommend patient get a psychological evaluation.” That was off putting for me, I am a mental health professional and this is a gaslighting technique often used in abusive relationships. “I treated you horribly, and you acted upset. You must have something wrong with YOU; get an evaluation.” I have never been treated like this by a provider, and I am almost 40 years old. I like to give people grace and suspect she has compassion fatigue, as she appears to be in her 70’s and approaching retirement. Do not get established with this provider. Just wow.
