Overview

Rachana Thapa, MD, believes in providing individualized medical care for each patient involving shared decision making. She values the importance of a strong patient-physician relationship and understands the confidence and reassurance such a relationship brings her patients. Dr. Thapa treats all endocrine problems including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders and cancers, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, calcium and bone disorders, reproductive disorders, lipid disorders and obesity.

Dr. Thapa received her medical education at Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Pakistan. She completed her residency training at Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine in Springfield, Massachusetts, and completed her fellowship training in endocrinology and metabolism and the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In her free time Dr. Thapa enjoys taking in the beauty of nature by hiking, biking and trail walking. She enjoys spending time with her family as well as trying new foods and dishes.
