Dr. Christopher Phelps is a general dentist, national/international lecturer and an Amazon best-selling author who practices in Des Moines, Iowa. After obtaining his BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he received a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree from the prestigious Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he graduated Magnum Cum Laude.
In 2006 Dr. Phelps founded The Phelps Institute. A clinical training center for dentists to learn the surgical art of placing dental implants. He has lectured all over the US, Canada, the UK and Australia and continues to have dentists seek his mentorship and trainings.
Since 2003, Dr. Phelps has strived to be on the leading edge of dentistry and has been recognized by his community, earning several local Top Dentist awards from 2003 to today. His patients have honored him with over 300+ 5 star reviews spread out over Google, Yelp, Facebook and Healthgrades. In 2016 and 2018, Dr. Phelps was selected as the Doctor's Choice National Dental Award winner. He was nominated and awarded this honor by his fellow dentists and out of the 6000 dentists nominated across the US, he was the only one to receive this honor on two occasions.
