Overview

I am a board certified Chiropractor, but more specifically, I am an upper cervical chiropractor practicing the Blair Technique. Upper cervical work takes many hours of extra-curricular training and is only practiced by less than 5% of chiropractors. I carefully study a patient’s specific 3-dimensional upper cervical x-rays before applying a light force and specific adjustment to the first bone of the neck, known as the Atlas.

Let me explain my story and why I chose to practice this technique. For years I have been plagued with lower back pain often radiating down my right leg. While in graduate school I went through a 6 month fight with bad flair-ups. At this time I was getting my low back adjusted A LOT…3x/ week. Every time I went back to get it examined my low back was misaligned again. It was very frustrating and painful. A speaker came to the school and talked to us about upper cervical chiropractic. He spoke of widespread effects not just in the neck, but total wellness with just a specific neck adjustment. I was cautious but interested as I explored what upper cervical chiropractic could do for me. He ended up adjusting my neck. Two days later I woke up and my back was no longer knotted up. The pain going down my leg was gone.
