Board certified in Cardiovascular disease, Interventional Cardiology , and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant, Dr Snyder serves as the President of HeartPlace. Formally he was the President of the medical staff of Medical City Dallas Hospital, the Dallas County Medical Society and on the Board of Governors for the American College of Cardiology in DC. Amongst other leadership roles Dr Snyder currently serves as the Chairman of ASPEN specialty physician network, on the Board of Trustees of the Texas Medical Association, on the Dallas County Health and Human Services Public Health Advisory Committee. Raised in Dallas Dr. Snyder attended Jesuit College Prepatory. He developed an interest in medicine while working as an anesthesia technician in the OR at Medical City during his high school and college summers. Dr Snyder joined HeartPlace in 1996, opening the office at Medical City that same year. Although an interventionalist, he prides himself on being, first and foremost, a preventative specialist, emphasizing the prevention of disease primarily through risk factor modification, especially through diet and exercise. He is particularly involved in medical advocacy. Being an advocate for our patients must be much more than just words. We as physicians will have almost as much impact on the health care our patients receive in the legislative chambers as we have in the exam room. As clinicians we treat one patient at a time, but as physician advocates, we can help everyone all at once. He speaks English and French. In his spare time, he and his wife Dr. Shelley Hall, also a cardiologist with HeartPlace, enjoy spending time with their five children as well as the following hobbies: Soccer
Snowboarding
Resistance Training in The House of Pain
