Joe is a United States Army veteran who got his start in hearing healthcare helping soldiers avoid hearing loss from hazardous noise exposure–a tall order in the military! After his enlistment, he completed his education to become an audiologist at the University of Cincinnati. After graduation, Joe relocated to the west coast–Seattle, then to Walnut Creek, California–before eventually returning home to Ohio. Joe is widely regarded by his peers and his patients as an expert in hearing healthcare.Joe specializes in prevention and treatment hearing loss and tinnitus therapy. With experience that spans from military hospitals to civilian ENT practices and hearing aid fitting, Joe is well-equipped to provide knowledgeable, evidence-based care to his patients. As someone who also suffers from tinnitus, he is continually improving his hearing healthcare expertise and training to better help others dealing with bothersome ringing and buzzing sounds.Using experience first gained in the military as an audiology technician, Joe now helps industries manage their hearing conservation programs to prevent hearing loss for employees exposed to hazardous noise. Several time a year, Joe teaches courses certifying occupational hearing conservation technicians for the Council on Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC).
