Overview

Saritha Kartan, MD is a member of Summit Health’s Allergy and Immunology team. Dr. Kartan treats adults and children with allergic conditions including asthma, hives, eczema, contact dermatitis, and food and drug allergies, as well as immune disorders. She is skilled in patch testing and diagnostic testing for asthma and food and drug challenges.

Dr. Kartan puts her patients at the forefront when providing care. She applies current research and data to her individualized approach and involves patients in decision-making throughout treatment. She especially values the personal connections made while understanding her patients’ needs and providing the tools to meet them. “My goal at the end of the visit is to provide a comprehensive evaluation and a clear treatment plan with direct patient input,” she says.

Dr. Kartan has participated in numerous research studies and authored and co-authored articles and abstracts published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Clinical & Translational Immunology, and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Kartan enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, reading, and traveling.
