Dr. Thomas Phillips completed a general surgery internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, followed by a tour of duty in central Germany. He was trained in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, obtaining board certification in 1998. He was assistant chief of the Department of Surgery at the U.S. Army Aeromedical Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama before leaving the service in 1999 to join our group.
Allergy/Immunology is a specialty of medicine which deals with diagnosis and treatment of asthma, allergies. An allergy is an abnormal reaction to a substance or environmental trigger. Allergists determine what substances or triggers cause reactions in each individual and look for ways to treat those allergies, so the sufferer can go on to live a normal life. Allergists may perform allergy tests like skin challenge, scratch test, breathing test to make accurate diagnosis and provide the right treatment plan.
