This hospital and its drs run too many tests just to get the patients’ money. After innumerable tests were performed I finally had surgery February 23. Anesthesia had zero empathy when I requested to leave my wig on for aesthetic purposes. I had a linx procedure performed. Once home I had trouble with the device getting stuck w food. The first time I called the after hours dr. He told me to go to the ER at OSU New Albany. Near my home. They don’t have an ER, only urgent care. The next day I called the drs office as I was still having that choking feeling. After being transferred from department to department they said a nurse would return my call by the end of day! I was feeling like I was choking! The nurse never called so I called the after hours number. The operator stated a Dr would return my call within 45 minutes. No dr ever called! I will never go back to this money greedy hospital again.

I went to the Emergency Room twice in three months. Both times accompanied by family as I could not drive myself. I was physically injured before admittance, by roughly 2-3 weeks.
Right after my injury I felt minor pain and side effects, though it grew into so much inflammation my "spinal cord" became "pinched," as M.D. Leah Muthuri, a Dr. in Central Ohio Primary Cares network of physicians, would conclude 32 months later when I finally was relieved of my pain and symptoms.
Upon admittance to the E.R. though, on this date in 2016, I told the Doctors, or my father did, that I was barely able to walk or talk, had lost feeling in half my body, and that I was having muscle spasms similar to seizures but I was conscious throughout them. At OSU Hospital a neurologist diagnosed me as "being in a catatonic state..." with no medical exams other than a few cognitive tests done while I was actually unconscious, as I had fallen asleep before the doctor arrived and they performed the tests before I "woke up" consciously.

I came back to OSU in early December 2016 with little change in symptoms between the first visit, this time to receiving no diagnosis after being admitted for over 12 hours. After the first few hours my muscle spasms were so bad they tried to get me seen by a doctor in the E.R. above my wait list, but that doctor was unable to perform any tests and thought I should be admitted to to psychology department. I was taken there, my mother with me the whole time, and upon arrival at the psych department a nurse took my phone which I was okay as my mother was there. Then this nurse started to get upset with me for having the muscle spasms which she referred to as "temper tantrums" and asked my mother to leave because it wasn't visiting hours, at which point I was "illegally" discharged as the nurse who caused the issues kept saying, though the doctors and other nurses there all thought psychiatric evaluation was not necessary as I was not suicidal or homicidal.

So after receiving two bills from OSU summing up to over $8,000 and being left still half numb and having muscle spasms for the next 32 months, I cannot recommend you go to this hospital for emergency medical services.
